The Artists of Fallbrook
Toni Inman

Toni Inman's Studio
Fallbrook California
On
Saturday - June 18, 2005 - photographer Ken Seals & I ventured out into the
Fallbrook countryside to visit the rustic studio
of artist Toni Inman. The occasion was the
1st photo shoot in the Artists Of Fallbrook series. Armed
with a Nikon D-100 digital camera
(Ken) and a bottle of Domaine Chandon Blanc
de Noirs champagne (yours
truly),
we launched the project of photographing Fallbrook's artists creating
what it is they create
(Wo)Men At Work
While Toni drew and painted -
all the while paying little heed to Ken's
"lights, camera . . " action swirling around her - I found a
comfortable chair
on the front porch and shared the pastoral view with a pair of spaniels
(My task would come later -
spinning photographs of art & artist
into digital gold, suitable for display on the Internet)
Toni lives, draws,
paints and photographs in a quaint 19th century cottage
in the rural Olive Hill setting of Fallbrook.
Fronted by the 2nd largest
California Pepper tree (Schinus molle) in
California
- complete with its own resident honey bee colony -
the digs beg to
play host as an artist's studio
